Politics only divide us if we allow it to, and politics only divide us when we are unwilling to humble ourselves and respect the other person's point of view, even if we do not agree with them or see eye to eye with them.
It would be great, and we would make so much progress if people who voted for Trump in 2020 and people who voted for Biden in 2020 could come together in a positive, respectful and diverse setting and discuss the reason we voted for the person we did, how our vote aligns with our morals and beliefs, how we feel the person we voted for is the best person for the job, and why the country is either better or worse today as a result of who we voted for without any disrespect, negativity or arguing.
Regardless of our differences, our views, our beliefs, and our opinions, there has to be respect, and there has to be freedom to speak based on our rights and beliefs. Progress, growth, and unity happens when two people who have completely different views, beliefs, and opinions are able to respect each other for who they are, what they believe, and how they voted in order to set aside their differences which will allow them to go from the aspect of opinion to the action of communication based on the truth according to the facts.
Until this happens, we are not going to be able to be united as a nation, we are not going to be able to get things done, and we are not going to make any progress in this nation if we can't rise above our differences, agree to disagree and be able to respect the choices and discussions of others and be able to discuss why we disagree without it turning into a shouting match.
