DEMAND LETTER: Time Is Ticking In California
A Los Angeles area government policy directly bans renting any city-owned facility for “religious worship,” while allowing numerous other uses, in direct violation of the First Amendment.
The ACLJ swiftly took action after becoming aware of an unconstitutional policy being applied to a City of Manhattan Beach resident attempting to rent space in a city-owned building for a religious gathering. We took swift action and have just sent a demand letter to the city.

Historically Democrat Voters Flipping In New York
Historically Democrat voters showed up in droves to a Trump rally in New York showing support for Donald Trump. This could significantly impact the political landscape, potentially turning the state into a swing state. This unexpected shift in voter allegiance might signal broader dissatisfaction with current party leadership and policies. If this trend continues, it could alter the dynamics in upcoming elections, making traditionally solid Democratic areas more competitive.

Trump Makes History in New York
President Donald Trump held a massive campaign rally in New York, and Bronx residents came out in droves to support the former President. Could New York become a swing state in the 2024 presidential election?
Fox News reports on what it calls a “historic Bronx rally”:
Former President Trump has broken political norms by visiting one of the most deep-blue areas in New York City, a town not necessarily known for its kindness to Republicans.
Trump rallied a crowd of what his campaign estimated to be 25,000 supporters at Crotona Park in the Bronx on Thursday, far more than the initial 3,500 it said were expected to attend. Those numbers appeared to also include those lined up outside the event – who waited hours for a shot at getting inside even after the event began.
“I’m here tonight to declare we are going to turn New York City around, and we are going to turn it around very, very quickly,” Trump said after taking the stage, vowing to bring back safety and better schools to the city. “We are going to make New York bigger, better and greater than ever before.”
It’s official: New York has somehow become the epicenter of Trump land. His rally simply defies all logic. It’s the first time a Republican presidential candidate has campaigned in the Bronx since President Ronald Reagan.
Despite his nonstop legal woes, Trump’s popularity in New York is booming. Many might question why a Republican candidate would host a rally in a deeply blue area, but Trump did it – and it was huge.
So who turned out for the event? Much of the crowd was made up of Hispanic and other minority voters, which is usually not the case at a Trump rally. This diverse crowd shows that Trump’s message is crossing racial barriers and resonating with all Americans.
Several of the attendees reported President Biden’s policies had negatively impacted them. They also slammed New York’s far-Left policies that had also led to higher crime and homelessness in New York City. These citizens are clearly looking for a change in leadership.

UNHINGED: Chaos In Trump Trial Courtroom
In the courtroom chaos during Trump's trial, Judge Cannon expressed serious concerns about the jury's ability to grasp the complexities of the case. This led to heated exchanges between the defense and prosecution, further fueling the already tense atmosphere. Major questions arise in the Jack Smith case postponement.

COURTROOM OUTRAGE: Prosecutor Against Trump Asked to “Calm Down” By Judge
President Donald Trump’s classified documents case set off fireworks as lawyers on both sides started yelling at each other in the Florida courtroom. Also, Judge Aileen Canon is worried that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case might be too complicated for jurors. The made-for-TV spectacle continues in the never-ending lawfare against President Trump.
As you likely remember, Jack Smith’s trial date against Trump is on indefinite hold because of “the myriad and interconnected pretrial . . . issues,” as Judge Canon described it. The judge paused the trial after reports came out that Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-4) had launched an investigation after Smith’s team had admitted to tampering with Trump’s classified documents.
Before the trial can resume, several motions must be filed. So the hearing that took place yesterday was the first step in resolving these issues – and it became an epic screaming match.
Much of the shouting yesterday revolved around whether or not Smith’s legal team had tried to bribe a lawyer by offering him a future judgeship. If true, in return, the lawyer was to pressure Walt Nauta, a former employee at Mar-a-Lago, into cooperating with Smith’s legal team. In other words, it was an obvious example of witness tampering.
The prosecutor slammed his fist on the lectern, yelling that the claim was a “fantasy” and that the defendant had made a “garbage argument.” Eventually, the judge was forced to tell the prosecutor to “calm down.”
And to top it off, the judge expressed concern that everyday citizens on a jury will be unable to understand the nuances and legal arguments of the case. She told the prosecutor that “real people have to decide these issues.”
With outbursts like yesterday and the admission that the case might be too complicated for a jury to understand, it’s hard to determine when the trial will resume. More than likely, it will be late summer – or it could even be after the 2024 presidential election. We will keep you updated.

Biden Sending Mixed Messaging on Stance with Israel
President Joe Biden flip-flopped on Israel again, but at least this time he’s rightly slamming the International Criminal Court (ICC) for seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant. Biden backed Israel’s actions to defend itself after the October 7 attacks. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson also threatened to enact sanctions on the ICC for its outrageous arrest warrants.
Fox News reports:
President Biden is condemning the International Criminal Court’s (ICC’s) decision to pursue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as “outrageous.” . . .
“The ICC prosecutor’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous,” Biden said in a statement issued Monday afternoon.
“And let me be clear: whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence – none – between Israel and Hamas,” Biden added. “We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security,” the president continued.
Biden claims to stand with Israel, yet his actions tell a different, more treacherous tale. As we recently reported, President Joe Biden admitted he was halting a supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel, as it attempts to defend its people and its interests against deadly violence. According to new reports, the Biden Administration has dangled crucial intel on Hamas leadership over Israel’s head, stating they can have it if they promise not to invade Rafah.
How should the American people interpret Biden’s contradictory actions? Either Biden believes what he’s saying but doesn’t have the strength to secure his team’s support, or he is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Biden Admin’s Official Statement On Death of “Butcher of Tehran” Is Shocking
Americans are strongly criticizing the Biden Administration for expressing condolences over the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who has been infamously nicknamed the "Butcher of Tehran" for his brutal actions. They are demanding that the Biden Administration "publicly denounce" Iran’s regime instead of offering condolences. This backlash follows State Department spokesman Matt Miller's defense of the U.S. position during a Monday afternoon press conference, where he was confronted about the controversy.

Iranian President Killed In Helicopter Crash Shocks The World
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and seven others (including Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian) were confirmed dead in a helicopter crash – or, as Iran State TV reported, “a hard landing.” What are the political implications of the “Butcher of Tehran” and other Iranian government officials dying in a helicopter accident?
Fox News reports on the immediate fallout of the fatal crash:
“The death of Raisi, nicknamed the ‘Butcher of Tehran’ for his oversight of mass executions of political prisoners in 1988, forced Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to install interim leadership for Iran’s executive branch. An Israeli official denied to Reuters the country had any involvement in the deadly crash, saying, bluntly, ‘it wasn’t us.’
Iran for years has backed the terror group Hamas, currently engaged in its monthslong war with Israel.
Iranian State TV said Monday that there was ‘no sign of life’ at the crash site of the helicopter that was carrying 63-year-old Raisi, 60-year-old Abdollahian and other officials after it made a ‘hard landing’ on Sunday.”
Just to be clear, the president of Iran is in a government position directly under Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Raisi, the “protégé” to the supreme leader, was considered the frontrunner to become the next ayatollah. Khamenei is 85 and has had a litany of health issues.
Two different public reactions unfolded in Tehran after the news of Raisi’s death. Many mourned in the streets while other civilians celebrated and set off fireworks. Raisi had killed thousands of his own people, so many weren’t heartbroken over the news.
The death of Raisi creates a power vacuum in Iran. It also raises a lot of questions. One primary question is, with the murderous “Butcher of Tehran” gone, will there be a chance for lowering tensions between Israel and Iran?
The government in Iran is vulnerable right now for the first time in a long while, with an important election coming up within 50 days (as required by Iranian law). Maybe – and I know this is a longshot – the regime smartly reads the room right now and understands what the Iranian people want. Rumors have been circulating of another possible revolution, and the regime doesn’t want to be overthrown. It could be a time for Iran to change course.
