That would be bad, but that's not happening. But after speaking to people outside of her political bubble, she now believes he’s actually a centrist candidate. “Any time you turn on cable news, you will hear liberals casting him as a unique threat to democracy, when he is really the opposite of that. He's the sort-of apotheosis of a democratic system that will not allow the billions of dollars spent trying to stop him to get in the way of the will of the people,” she says. Ms. Ungar-Sargon recently traveled the country, speaking to everyday Americans about how they perceive the political, economic, and cultural climate. She compiled her findings in a book: “Second Class: How the Elites Betrayed America’s Working Men and Women.” “The most shocking thing I found was that the American Dream for working-class people is much more alive and well and healthy in red states than it is in blue states,” says Ms. Ungar-Sargon. We discuss how, according to her, the democratic party betrayed middle-class Americans by creating a knowledge industry consisting of credentialed elites who benefit economically from illegal immigration and trade liberalization. “I think much of the Democratic policy today is part and parcel of this upward transfer of wealth, whether it's student-loan forgiveness, whether it was the lockdown policies, whether it's the open border, whether it's the climate agenda and the Green New Deal, Defund the Police—all of this stuff is about the fumes, the virtuous fumes that the over-credentialed elites create out of their ideology. And they always demand that the working class pays for it,” says Ms. Ungar-Sargon. The UN has never successfully controlled any territory. And in particular, in terms of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the UN's record has been a dismal failure. The UN has had peacekeeping missions that were supposed to create a buffer between Israel and its hostile neighbors since 1948. Each one of them was a failure. There was a peacekeeping mission called the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization based in Jerusalem that was supposed to separate between Israel and Jordan. When the Jordanians started attacking Israel in 1967, they just bugged out and ran away. There was a UN peacekeeping force in the Golan Heights. As soon as the jihadis showed up during the Syrian Civil War, they abandoned their positions in the demilitarized zone, and it was no longer demilitarized. UN peacekeepers in the Sinai ran away as soon as the Egyptians said they were going to attack. And now of course, in Gaza, we see that UN agencies were completely taken over by Hamas. Also, we mentioned Lebanon - there's a UN peacekeeping force there. Their very mission is to disarm Hezbollah and keep them from shooting it Israel. Instead of doing that, they become human shields for Hezbollah, and Hezbollah digs tunnels underneath their bases. This clinic in the Netherlands decided to give children puberty blockers as a way to say, 'Well, they're not happy when they transition as adults. So, maybe if we transition them as children, it'll have better results.' Radical, extraordinary, very heavy experiment, but they decided to do it. They didn't have a control group. So, they didn't have a group of children that they didn't give these interventions to, to follow up. And they took a very healthy group of children. Out of about 150, they took about 70, and they followed these 70 children, and they gave them puberty blockers. They stopped their puberty. And of that 70, 15 backed out of the study. And of those 15, some of them developed diabetes, heart complications, all sorts of issues that you'd want to say, 'what happened there?' And then, of the 55 that were left, they went on, they continued their study, and one of those children died when they were getting cross-sex surgery. And so, I would say, 'One out of 70 died? End of study, End of research, this doesn't work.' The dangers are way too high. The risks are way too high. These are children we're working with. This is inappropriate. But they didn't think that. They thought it was a great success. Missouri, the Supreme Court case on government censorship. "The government here is coming in and pressuring the [social media] platforms to take down what it has designated as 'misinformation' or 'disinformation.' So, it's made itself the arbiter of truth. In fact, it created a whole department to do that," says Ms. Murrill. We dive into the oral arguments we just heard and discuss standing versus merit, and persuasion or encouragement versus coercion. "They aren't even acknowledging that they were doing anything wrong. They are just saying that all they were doing was engaging in persuasion. Well, I don't know anybody when the FBI shows up who thinks that's just persuasion. I mean, it's coercive by nature," says Ms. Murrill. And they arrested and charged him federally. Are we now going to arrest journalists in theaters of war because it's illegal for them to be there, who are reporting on the war? So, the East is privately settled, which is how our country was supposed to be settled,” says Ms. Byfield. She became convinced that transitioning would cure her of her trauma. “It wasn't framed to me as queer theory. When I was in middle school, like 14, it was framed as social justice. ... And I latched on to that immediately,” says Ms. Becker. By age 19, she had come out as a transgender gay man using they/them pronouns and was prescribed cross-sex hormones after a one-hour consultation with a gender clinician. One year later, she had both of her breasts removed. Today, at 26 years old, she regrets those decisions. “How do I exist as a female when I've mutilated my body? ... Like, what do I do now, because that didn't work out? I didn't transcend my body. I didn't transcend the trauma,” says Ms. Becker. “I take responsibility for my delusions, but I don't take responsibility for the medical neglect and the medical malpractice that occurred.” Laura Becker is now an advocate for detransitioners. She considers herself “pro-human” and encourages practicing “radical acceptance” of the “necessary imperfections” that we are all born with. “If we accept the burden of being alive, we must accept that there are necessary imperfections,” says Ms. Becker.
