Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) appeared on television on Monday to say that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris “should be impeached” for not speaking out about the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and not flying to Kabul.
Green’s remarks: In Monday’s episode of Real America’s Voice, Greene voiced vehement criticism over Harris’ handling of the crisis in Afghanistan. Specifically, she took issue with what Harris has not done.
“For [Harris] not to speak out about this, for her not to fly over to Afghanistan to the Kabul airport, is disgraceful and unforgivable,” said Greene. “She should be impeached as well.”
Leading up to the statement, Greene recounted several ways in which Sharia law discriminates against women.
“[Under Sharia law] we would be eating on the ground with the dogs,” she said. “We would be slaves to our husbands.”
Greene emphasized her outrage at the Biden administration for failing to prevent the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
“All of them are complicit in this,” she went on. “The State Department knew that all of this was going to happen, and Joe Biden did it anyways, Kamala Harris stood there beside him, and all of the Democrats are supporting him in this.”
Worth noting: Greene indicated earlier this month on War Room Pandemic to host Steve Bannon that she is working on her second set of articles of impeachment against President Biden since he took office in January.
In that same interview, she heaped praise on former President Donald Trump, stating, “Trump right now is more presidential and he’s not even in the White House than Joe Biden can ever be or stand up to in the past seven months.”
