Hunter Biden’s firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, was hired by Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings in 2014. They paid Hunter’s firm $166,000 a month. The problem? Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin started a widespread corruption probe into Burisma Holdings with specific plans to look at all board members – including Hunter Biden.
As Vice President, Joe Biden traveled to Ukraine to give the news that the U.S. would be granting Ukraine $1 Billion in loan guarantees. While there, Biden threatened to pull the guarantees if they did not fire Prosecutor Shokin, who was investigating the firm Joe’s son was on the board of.
Sure enough, Ukraine folded in order to not risk losing the loan guarantees. The corruption investigation into Burisma Holdings was abandoned. In 2018, Joe bragged on video about personally strong-arming the Ukrainians into firing the prosecutor.
