The Pandora Papers have revealed that Farrer & Co, who have represented Queen Elizabeth throughout her reign, aided a Nigerian politician transfer around $153mn to his personal account via trusts and holdings across the globe – even though they knew he’d faced embezzlement charges. The Guardian reports that Abubakar Bagudu was instrumental in aiding the late General Sani Abacha syphon around $5bn in state funds, some which Bagudu admitted to receiving.
