“In this country during the early 1950s, numerous subterranean bases were built that would allow the president and certain members of his cabinet and congress to survive a nuclear attack. ...”[1]

“We've been building underground bases since before [WWI] that were pretty impressive. But that's when we were really learning. It really didn't become a real pressing matter to have deep, underground military bases until the nuclear age, and until the age of having not only nuclear weapons but delivery systems that were sort of like bunker busters, that could deliver nuclear weapons deep under the rock strata before detonating. So they had to keep up with the weapons systems that were being developed. As the weapon systems were being developed to take out deep, underground military bases, the deeper they went, and the more sophisticated they became.

Over the years, they've used many different ways of doing it, from using conventional or . . . I guess the original type of nuclear explosions to blast out cavities that would vitrify a lot of the rock . . . A lot of it would collapse back in. They would go in and clean whatever out that they needed and then finish it off.

And then a lot of times, they would just drill really deep holes, put in charges of high plastiques, things that detonate at well over 32,000 feet per second, that just turn the rock to dust, no matter how hard it is, and then they excavate it.

And, of course, you have the tunnel-boring machines. And then up in recent times, they have more recent, next-gen type of explosive devices, that when detonated, leave a lot more desirable, almost spherical hole in the rock, that also has almost no radiation.”[2]

A lot of underground bases are built under Indian reservations.[3]

The Rock of Gibraltar is tunneled out like Swiss cheese because of its strategic location.[4]

The finished walls in those tubes resemble polished black glass.[5]

In addition to military bases, there are underground cities built exclusively for the elite and their families. They look like luxury malls or hotels in Dubai.[2] According to Emery Smith, these are located in New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado. They house full-running hospitals.[6]

According to Emery Smith, underground bases are owned by corporations or unknown entities. The military simply guards these facilities.[6]

Some bases are in such remote locations that they do not need guards present. They are guarded through satellites and other technologies. Typically, to enter an underground base, “you'd have to enter a really secured lab or a really secured corporation or a really secured military installation to access the underground. . . . Depending on where your entry point is and depending on the type of base it is, some of the most common ones, like the one I was stationed at with Kirtland Air Force Base, was basically a fire tower that you would never even think would be the access point. . . . And these areas, too, they don't have, like, parking lots in front of them or anything like that. You usually have to walk through many different posts. But since this was already on the base, inside another base that's there . . . so you're going through two different types of security. So first you have to get on the military base, number one. And then once you do that, there's another even more secure base on there with the fences and their own security teams. They're not military. And these are private corporations that I spoke of that are running these things.”[6]

As far as the laboratories and all the testing going on there with nuclear and other types of energies – because it's not all just medical, of course . . . but other things going down there, as Corey can also relate to of working on different types of devices, such as different types of vehicles, number one, space vehicles; also, the medical stuff I talked to you about in the last episodes, with all the storing of cloned bodies and whatnot. . . . there are some that are only for specific types of projects, because it's so compartmentalized, they'll make a whole underground base just for one project. ... And they'll keep that with the population usually under about 200 people so they can control them. ..... Pete Peterson Ascension Mysteries ..... Corey: And they do starlight. They do stars at night. Emery: They do. And you have your own 24-hour, like you said – the day and night situations. They can make it look like a hurricane's coming, too, with clouds and all sorts of amazing sci-fi effects that are very realistic, as far as the lighting goes, and the way it makes you feel like you're looking into infinity.

National parks ... desert ... polar ice caps ... sea ... “those that scatter”.

Subterranean Highway & Subshuttle

The subterranean highway in America is like a freeway except it's underground. That highway depends on electric motors [for trucks, cars and buses] for the paved roads, and it is for limited travel. There is another style of transit for freight and for passengers that is for rapid travel. That worldwide network is called the “Sub-Global System.” It has checkpoints at each country entry. There ARE shuttle tubes that 'shoot' the trains at incredible speeds using a mag-lev and vacuum method. They travel at a speed that excels the speed of sound. Part of your question involves the location of entrances to that base. The easiest way to answer is to say every state in the U.S.A. has them. Frequently, the entrances are camouflaged as sand quarries or mining operations. Other complex portals are found on military bases. New Mexico and Arizona have the largest amounts of entrances followed by California, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri. Of all the state's Florida and North Dakota have the least amount of entrances. Wyoming has a road that opens directly into the subterranean freeway. That road is no longer in use, but could be reactivated if they decide to do so, with minimal cost. It's located near Brooks Lake.[5]

The Transamerican Underground Subshuttle System (T.A.U.S.S.) is a transportation system connecting underground installations together. It covers the entire continental United States and extends through Central America and Brazil into Argentina.[7]

There are two different modes of transportation. Tram and gondola. Two types of trams. egg-shaped pod with four seats on opposite sides of the interior. Padded dentist seats with seatbelts, which are unnecessary. The pods can go over 700 MPH.[6] They have their own inertial field.[8]

“the underground tram system goes under the ocean. It goes to Australia. It goes to Europe. It goes to Asia. The tram system travels all over. And there are underwater bases. There are bases that are underwater, on the surface of the ocean floor, and there are also subterranean bases below the ocean floor.

I had an engineer describe to me how they built a certain base with domes that were lowered into the water, positioned by the Navy, and then an underwater concrete was applied. The domes were placed on top of the foundation, and then the water is pumped out from the inside of the dome. And then the pressure of the ocean creates an even tighter seal from the way it's engineered. It's a type of concrete that is the foundation. They enter in below and come up within.

And then they build within it. And then, again, there are also Navy expeditions that have gone and found beautiful underwater caverns that lead to areas underground that are perfect for sealing off and pumping all the water out, pressurizing, and building a base. They've done that and created several submarine bases. There's one that there was a lot of speculation about. Some people said it was a hoax, but there is an opening for an underground base system that submarines use off the coast of California that was, I believe, caught on a satellite image. And there was a whole lot of scuttlebutt on the Internet about it, and then it kind of died off. There was a door that would normally be closed that matches the features of the ocean floor, and it was wide open, and this is where submarines go in, go to a lake that is in Nebraska. And it pops up in a . . . And they pop up in a lake, or they'll stay just below and not surface. But they have . . . It's large enough for nuclear submarines to travel in a subterranean cavern system. It's like an underground submarine . . . and underground, underwater submarine base.”[2]

“There are underground bases and facilities all over the place – in cities all around us. … there are people that walk into buildings that take elevators that are service elevators that the rest of the public don't know about. They go down several more floors than anyone that work in the building know about, get on an underground train system, and are shuttled to anywhere in the world in a matter of an hour or two, to where they can work in these underground bunkers and facilities. And they're absolutely spread out all over the place.

Most of the bases are self-contained. There's only a small percentage, globally, that are a part of this underground network. The vast majority of them are built to be self-contained and to house a certain amount of people, anywhere from 10, 20 to 100 years, and sustain them.

Of course, some of them are joint-operated. … I know that the majority of them are for R&D.

Some of them use geothermal power, and some of them use hydrodynamics, and some of them use classified power systems.

One of the most advanced bases has been built down in Brazil.

There have been some of these bases that have been attacked, some of the older bases or bases closer to the surface. This is why they have put so many resources into building these more advanced bases, like the one I'm talking about in Brazil that I've heard referenced as a “Zazi base” and a few other terms.

(And I've had insiders like Jacob, from the space program, tell me that there are these air apertures on these underground bases, and they can partially open them or close them and then ventilate air through them, and it's like blowing into a trumpet and getting this big, resonant sound. Do you know if they do have these iris-type of metal things that could be used like that, that open and close for air ventilation?)”

“The DUMBs recycle air from time to time.” “… ventilating the air out of an underground base” makes a trumpet noise “almost like a tornado siren.” “… some of these trumpet noises people are hearing on a wider scale in the skies are actually an energetic shock wave coming from the Sun, … the sound is coming from energy coming from the Sun interacting with our upper atmosphere.”[2]

“Multiple whistleblowers have revealed that the casinos themselves are intimately involved with the military-industrial complex, if not directly owned by them in many cases. A virtual monopoly exists on construction and real estate in Vegas, which is typically blamed on "the mafia" -- and that may be one aspect of it. Nonetheless, some casinos apparently have elevators that will take you down to sub-shuttles for quick trips to Nellis, Area 51 and elsewhere. Certain casino employees, such as heads of security, may work their jobs as cover assignments while also moonlighting as black-ops employees.”[9]

The early ones ran on railroads.[10] They were later upgraded to egg-shaped shuttles powered by a maglev system, hydraulics system and vacuum system.[11][12] The shuttles travel by the use of high-intensity compressed air, and are extremely fast. Inflatable airbags inside the shuttle cushion you from the impact of turns. The ride can be sickening enough that every seat has a vacuum-powered chute to capture vomit as soon as you lean into it.[13] One can neurologically interface with the shuttle through metallic plates where the hands go and through two ports in the back of the seat.[7]

When they were first developing the subterrenes, they just drove the drill uninterrupted for long distances at a constant speed so that the glass tunnels would be of a uniform density. The problem with this design is that the earth’s crust goes through various shifts, and one earthquake is enough to disrupt the glass. The glass would then crack and burst open like a banana peel across many many miles. The crack instantly spreads across both sides of the tube, and all of the dirt comes rushing in. The whole thing has to be re-drilled, and that area of the underground network of cities is now cut off. Eventually, they started driving the subterrene for a certain distance; momentarily stop it to melt a thick layer of glass, shaped like a ring, on a regular interval. These rings form buttresses which stop the lenticular cracks from forming. The cracks are now contained between the two rings. This makes repair much easier.[14]

“Pine Gap is located in Australia’s Northern Territory; to locals it is nothing more than a satellite ground station which is jointly operated by the Americans and Aussies. While it appears to be surrounded by mountains, it is actually a hologram that conceals a massive base built deep inside the mountain.”

List of Bases/Tunnels

According to Emery Smith, there are about 300 underground bases in North America alone.

Some are under UTEP in El Paso, TX.
One is in Charlottesville, VA.
One is in Denver, CO.
One is in White Sands, NM under the White Sands National Monument.
One is under Creststone, CO. That one is under expansion.
One is in British Columbia, CA.
One is near Whidbey Island.

SRI, the U.S. Navy, and NAWS China Lake did R&D work on undersea facilities. Companies such as Parsons have been involved in constructing undersea facilities.[15]

China Lake

“The underground facility at China Lake is big enough that with the right equipment, it looks like a city of 500,000 people at night.”[16]

There is a small base underneath Mountanair, NM.[17]

Washington D.C.

  • White House – a real anthill lies below
  • Capitol Building – tunnel system radiating out to nearby buildings
  • Pentagon – multilevel underground facility
  • Vice-President’s mansion – major subterranean work in the 2000s
  • Treasury Building – underground tunnels
  • NSA in Laurel, Maryland – massive, sprawling, deep, multi-level facility
  • FEMA on Riggs Rd. between Olney and Laytonsville, Maryland – at least seven levels
  • Camp David beneath Catoctin Mountain, Maryland – huge, multi-level, so large and complex that any one person is unlikely to know the full lay-out.
  • Warrenton Training Stations A&B (and he thinks also C&D), Warrenton, Virginia – former CIA bases, now run by other agency, might be DHS.
  • Mount Weather in Blue Ridge Mountains – vast, deep, complex, highly secretive.
  • Federal Reserve Bank.

Mexico

The governments of both the United States and Mexico arranged for the U.S. to construct a DUMB in Mexico. The location was selected out of a necessity for dryness of ground as well as its near total lack of population. It is a government research installation used in bacteriological warfare.[20] It’s in the zone of silence.[21] It used to be an NBC facility. A lot of cloning goes on there.[22]

“The Cube is a state-of-the-art underground facility that Lockheed Martin Skunkworks runs in the high desert near Edwards Air Force Base. ...”

Deep Underground Military Bases "con't"

When you think about underground military bases, it’s easy to come up with a scenario from a Hollywood doomsday movie; the end of Terminator III: Rise of the Machines. That movie ends up with the heroes taking refuge in a nuclear bunker which is also designed as a military command and control facility.

There really are such underground facilities owned by the Department of Defense, but their actual uses range from the U.S. nuclear missile program to tracking man-made space debris as part of space operations including NASA missions, International Space Station support, etc.

-

DoD Nuclear Missile Silos

There are many underground operations controlled by the Department of Defense, and America’s 6th branch of the military, Space Force, is responsible for a large number of them.

These locations are known as “the tip of the spear” in relation to the United States Military’s ability to launch intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear or conventional warheads. What specifically is the tip of the spear?

All the underground nuclear missile silos across the United States. Most are located in the northern tier states such as Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, etc. Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota is one of these “tip of the spear” bases, with a network of underground missile sites staffed by officers who are responsible for actual or practice missile launch operations, alert facility staff, and facility managers.

These underground operations run 24 hours a day and crews don’t work eight hour days then go home; underground operators sleep and work in shifts due to the remote locations of the missile silos. When news media crews are given permission to visit these site (with military escorts) they must often be driven long distances or flown to missile silo sites by helicopter.

Some silos are the subject of local controversy. In at least one Air Force Base in the northern tier there was an informal annual protest during the 1990s; a group of senior citizen activists attempted to access nuclear missile silo locations to stage in-person protests. Those are usually handled as local incidents, but like nuclear missiles themselves those protests are a throwback to an earlier time when there was still a Soviet Union and a substantial nuclear threat.

Cheyenne Mountain Complex

Cheyenne Mountain Complex is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is a massive secure, underground complex under some 2,000 feet of granite. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers supervised the excavation of Cheyenne Mountain starting circa 1961 with nearly 700,000 tons of granite excavated for the project. Cheyenne Mountain served as home to critical NORAD operations during the Cold War.

The site became fully operational as the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Combat Operations Center in 1967.

It was created to withstand a nuclear explosion as close as (approximately) one mile away and was considered at one time to be the only U.S. facility capable of enduring the effects of an electromagnetic pulse (which essentially disables all electronic equipment within a certain radius of a nuclear blast).

Missions at Cheyenne Mountain have included:

  • Air Defense Command Satellite Systems
  • Ballistic Missile Defense Center
    • Combat Operations Center

    Space Defense Operations Center
  • Cheyenne Mountain Complex Improvements Program (427M)
  • Joint Surveillance System
  • Survivable Communications Integration System

In 2002, the complex was redesignated Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station. It was the beginning of the end of the old Cold-War era operations there. NORAD evolved with the times and in 2006 the mission moved out of the underground facility and was rehomed at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.

NORAD and USNORTHCOM integrated into a command center at the Headquarters building at Peterson where it continues operating in modern times.

In 2008 as Cheyenne Mountain facility celebrated its 50th anniversary, the old NORAD and USNORTHCOM underground sites were redesignated as an Alternate Command Center and would wind up being used for training and military exercise support.

The complex is maintained by the 21st Mission Support Group and some sources report that during peak operations at the underground facility approximately two thousand people worked there. In contemporary times a fraction of that number remains; some 200 staff in all.

-

Raven Rock Mountain Complex

The Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC), also known as Site R, is an underground nuclear bunker close to Blue Ridge Summit in Pennsylvania. The site was built during the Cold War as an alternative location for Pentagon operations. There were a number of sites created for this purpose under a Continuity of Government plan that got its start as early as the American Revolution.

The installation’s largest tenant unit was listed by several sources as Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Raven Rock gained some new notoriety thanks to a tell-all book by Garret Graff. Raven Rock: The Story of the U.S. Government’s Secret Plan to Save Itself—While the Rest of Us Die was published in 2017 and explores the history of the site and the implications of its existence.

In 1776, the Continental Congress passed a resolution anticipating a need to relocate command and control of the nation’s business from Philadelphia to Baltimore. There wasn’t always a Continuity of Government doctrine to follow, but in 1952, President Truman ordered federal agencies to create contingency plans to manage a civil emergency.

Since the beginning of that initiative, as planning evolved it grew to include secret underground operations like Raven Rock which was meant to house senior Defense Department officials and their staff.

If America launched a nuclear strike, or launched missiles in retaliation for a nuclear strike, Site R/Raven Rock was intended as a facility where government operations could continue in spite of massive destruction from an enemy nuclear assault

But nuclear war wasn’t the only motivation for having such alternate locations. In 2006, Defense Department officials held a military exercise at Raven Rock; it was meant to test how the facility might be able to weather a flu pandemic. According to a Yahoo News report from March 17, 2020, the exercise operated in a scenario where the H5N1 bird flu epidemic began to affect operations in the United States.

The results? The DoD learned it was harder than they anticipated to keep infections from spreading, and it is no coincidence that this occurred around the same time that reports of DoD leaders questioning the continued value of such operations.

Department of Defense officials are not likely to discuss emergency evacuation plans in interviews or press queries related to the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. Whether a facility like Raven Rock is included in contingency planning in case the coronavirus emergency requires some form of evacuation of essential federal officials isn’t a topic of public discussion.

But the fact that a viral outbreak exercise was held at the facility in 2006 does lead some to wonder what the next move could be for the DoD should things escalate to the point where a relocation of Pentagon operations or other needs could require the use of Raven Rock.

Underground Facilities: Not All Are Run By The Military

Not all underground shelters, installations, or command centers are owned by the Department of Defense. One such underground installation is called Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center. It is officially described as “…a Department of Homeland Security facility, situated on 564 acres high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, approximately 64 miles west of Washington, D.C.”

According to official documents published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the site is described as an operations center intended for the President and cabinet members to shelter in should there be a nuclear attack on the United States. Vice President Dick Cheney is said to have fled to Mount Weather following the 9/11 attacks in 2001.
