A True Patriot

It's very interesting to me that certain people associate being a patriot with being Republican. In fact, being a patriot has nothing to do with a particular political party. Being a patriot is following the constitution, the Bill of Rights and upholding the rule of law. A true patriot knows their rights and expresses their freedoms without restriction. Being a true patriot is living a life of truth, honesty, respect and appreciation. True patriots do not belittle or disrespect others. True patriots do not lie, cheat, steal, control or manipulate. True patriots put God first in their life, they trust God, they rely on their faith in God, and they stand with courage, strength, and boldness to defend our God given rights and freedoms. And being a true patriot is making choices and decisions every day that are honest, sincere, and right in the eyes of God. Anyone who thinks or believes that being a patriot automatically associates that person as a Republican is uninformed of what a true patriot is. There are a lot of people who have been misled and deceived about what a true patriot is. Sadly, as more and more truth is dripped out, we are seeing more and more people coming out of the woodwork who are showing us by their actions what their true intentions are.
