The lack of honesty and truth is the result of a lacking relationship with God!

People can lie, steal, and cheat all they want but at the end of the day God knows the truth and the truth will eventually come out, sometimes it just takes a little longer than other times. That's exactly what we are seeing in Michigan right now regarding some candidates who claim they were being honest, but we are finding out not based on our opinion but based on the facts that they were not being honest. And of course they're going out of their way to prove their honesty, which is just showing us their hearts and their true motives and intentions even more. It's very easy to spot someone who is being honest and someone who is not, who is trying to prove they are being honest.

See, a person who is wholeheartedly being honest does not have to prove anything to anyone. And that is truly the difference between someone who is being honest and someone who is not. And when someone is not being honest, it shows that they have other underlying issues in their lives that they have not dealt with that are causing them to feel the need to lie, steal, or cheat. It truly shows that they are lacking in one area of their lives or another, that they are feeling inadequate, or that they don't feel like they are good enough. So they have to lie, still, or cheat in other areas of their life in order to try to make up for what they are lacking. It's typically a mindset of thinking they are not good enough rather than a practical problem and the only way they know how to make themselves feel better is to lie, still, or cheat.

When people trust God wholeheartedly and put Him in the forefront of their thoughts, and when they trust him, and rely on Him, they will never feel like they are not good enough, they will never feel inadequate, and they never feel like they have not accomplished enough. Because when you have a true relationship with God and you trust Him and rely on Him wholeheartedly, not only will He provide everything you need, He will give you a sense of reassurance in all areas of your lives. Another reason people feel the need to lie, cheat, and steal is because they are struggling with the spirit of pride. Again, this happens when a person feels like they have to overcompensate in one area of their lives or another because they are feeling inadequate. And again the solution is to seek God, trust Him, and rely on Him wholeheartedly, and not to lie, still, and cheat to make up for what a person feels like they are lacking.

So for those who feel the need to lie, cheat, steal we are praying for you so that you will get right with God, that you will trust Him, seek Him, and rely on Him wholeheartedly in all areas of your lives. I truly believe when people give their lives to Christ and as a result they trust God in all areas of their lives, they will no longer feel the need to lie, still, and cheat their way through life. Not only will they be set free from the feeling of needing to constantly prove themselves, but they will no longer feel the need to overcompensate in the areas of their lives where they feel as if they are inadequate according to the world. God is the true source, and He is the only solution to the inadequacies that we often face as humans.
