Bay County Commission / Essexville School board Corruption

I knew our local Bay County government was corrupt, but today we got a first-hand look into just how deep and connected the Democratic Bay County swamp is, and it is time to drain this swamp for good! I don't care if this post makes anyone mad, unfriend me if you feel the need, I am sharing what took place, and I am speaking the truth!

There is a school board member on the Essexville School board who clearly violated the Open Meeting Act in order to get three other boards members to "agree off the record" to vote yes along with her on the mask mandate for the school mind you the board has 7 people and the other three people on the board who were not part of this "off the record" conversation had no clue that these 4 board members which is a quorum had talked and came up with a plan to vote yes on the mask mandate for the school. Not to mention that nothing was on the agenda for the school board meeting until literally the day before the meeting, so the parents had no idea that they were even going to vote on this.

A Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) request was made, and documented proof was obtained showing all the "off the record" communication between these board members via text message and email, where they were discussing their plan to purposely vote yes on this topic knowing they had a quorum and knowing they had the majority vote, this is clearly a violation of the Open Meeting Act.

Not only does this board member work in the Bay County Executive's office, she also just so happens to be the lawyer for the Bay County Commission. And the people who sat on the election board / Bay County Commission today just happen to all work together. Not to mention that the Bay County Treasurer who was one of the people on the election board today just so happens to be the ex-wife of one of the other 4 board members who were in on this is plan. And even though she is the ex-wife of one of the other 4 board members there are pictures of them together recently on Facebook, so a bit of a conflict of interest.

And the lawyer for the County commission even went as far as to state on the record that the President of the school board told all the board members that basically their "off the record" communications that were obtained in the FOIA request were okay, and she even stated that he basically according to her own words, encouraged the board members to break the Open Meetings Act which first and foremost the President of the board does not have the authority or the power to do so, and secondly it is wrong, and furthermore why would he encourage them to purposely break the Open Meeting Act? It was simply her way of trying to justify her actions because she knows that she was caught.

Needless to say that the election board did not approve the petition to have this school board member removed, but this is far from over. We are not only going to appeal this, but we are also going to get a lawyer, we will not stop until this person and the other board members involved in this are removed. These people think they are above the law, and they think they are better than everyone else.

We will either appeal this, hire a lawyer, or we will continue to have new people sponsor a petition hearing until we get the language in the petition right, and we get this approved to move forward for the recall process. And once we get one of these school board members removed, we will move on to the next one, and we will go right down the line until every corrupt school board member that does not have the best interest of the children as a priority is removed.

These people need to know once and for all that just because they are on the school board and just because they work on the local County commission and even because this person is a lawyer for the County commission does not give them the power, the authority, or the right to violate the open meeting at and to discuss off the record their plan on how they're going to vote just because they think they are above the law. These people have had power and the control for far too long, it's about time they wake up and recognize that at the end of the day they are in control of nothing and that God has the final say.

And for far too long these people have got away with these type of actions, and they have had nobody stand up to them or question them about their actions because they think they are untouchable, that is up until now. We The County - Bay County Chapter is and will continue to stand up and fight for the rights and freedoms of the people in our County, and we will not stop, and we will not back down until Justice is served. And just so that others know we are not standing down, we will not be silenced, and we are not going away.

Folks, this is not a minor issue, forcing children to wear a mask all day at school is a huge issue, and it needs to be addressed immediately.

The parents have the power and the final say about the choices and decisions that are made regarding their children, not the school board!

Change is coming, and it starts right here by removing and replacing our corrupt elected officials in Bay County!
