Social Security

My wife was looking for Social Security disability and it said our local office and all offices are permanently closed anybody know anything about this

I don't remember the name of the Congressman, but he said that his was a big problem as Americans can't get resolution from a host of agency offices because they are all closed due to "COVID". I don't think it's going to get anny better any time soon.

I am on SSDI and have no problems contacting the local offices in my area. I'm pretty sure each county usually has their own. I moved from one county to another and just switched offices. Call 1 (800) 772-1213 main SSA number and ask for your local SSA office number and address. You are assigned a caseworker and contact them to discuss issues. They see you by appt if necessary but everything I have done has been through the mail or by phone.
