An oath not taken seriously, they do not take the oath honestly and truthfully

These two verses remind me of an elected official who places their hand on the Bible but does not take the oath seriously, they do not take the oath honestly and truthfully, nor do they uphold the truth of the oath in which they took once they are in office. As a result there is a lack of truth in their words, a lack of honesty in their actions, a lack of integrity in their character, a lack of transparency in the way they handle difficult people and situations and a lack of accountability to anyone for what they do.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Psalm 24:3-4 (King James Version)
